During rainy days on weekends you will find me sulking in my room reading, sleeping, eating and in between cursing the rain. Well not this time. I've been outdoors unmindful of the rain with v. Last Saturday v & i attended a children's bday party of his friend's kid at Laguna. It was a gloomy afternoon. We were one of the few who arrived early. Most of the guests were still stuck in traffic. It was quite an expensive party for a one-year old. After all the guests has arrived the program was started. There were clowns, bubble show, games - a typical children's party.

Later that night we jumped at the jacuzzi. The host brought bottles of beer, pitcher and plastic cups which Ramz and I opened and started to distribute. The guys talked about business. I was left to chat with an amiable girl named peewee. She was one of the few batchmate of Ramil's, who applied at Fluor a few year's back. We gossiped a bit about Mike A. which turned out to be her fling.

After soaking in the pool for two hour v and i decided to go home and call it a night. The drive back to alabang was pretty easy and during the trip v was holding my hand while i fell asleep.

Sunday 2:30 a.m.

Woke up in the middle of the night with a loud thud of books falling down the floor. It was weird since my books are piled snuggly on the corner of one wall acoss the window. Only an earthquake or a cat climbing on it could tumble it down. The windows and the door was closed. There wasn't even the slightest sound in the room save for the constant buzz of the fan. Still in a daze and a bit frightened I stood up, started picking up the books and piled them neatly on the floor, grabbed my pillows and raced to my mom's room.

"Ma?" I whispered and slowly walked to her dark room. I heard a soft mumble then she turned sideways and asked what time it was. I answered and climbed on the other side of the bed. It wasn't that long before she was asleep again. I could feel the warmth of her back and the silk nightdress across my shoulders. Her scent was all over the room, and in that moment i knew that i was safe... and that's when i fall asleep.
